Estimating Cosmetic Surgery Cost
Reconstruction, revitalization and rejuvenation are three major components of plastic surgery. People are increasingly becoming conscious of their looks and are willing to spend their money and time for acquiring the looks that they want. There are many types of cosmetic surgeries such as breast augmentation/reduction, body procedures, skin procedure, facial procedures, hair procedures and weight-loss surgery. There were times when cosmetic surgery was an option only for rich but it is fast becoming more realistic as more and more people are choosing this option to complete their looks
Determining Cosmetic Surgery Cost
The cost of cosmetic surgery depends on many factors such as geographical location, number of areas being treated, expertise of plastic surgeon, operating room fee, cost of anesthesiologist's services and lab fees. The average surgeon or physician cost is around $4000 for tummy tuck, $2300 for eyelid surgery, $400 for botox injection, $3000 for breast implants, $700 for chemical peel and $2500 for liposuction.
Other Factors Determining Cosmetic Surgery Cost
It is not easy to determine the average cosmetic surgery cost, as there is wide variation in cost of surgeon’s fee, theatre cost, anaesthetist cost etc. The cost of the procedure also depends on your requirements and complexity of the procedure. Some procedures need more number of sessions and hence cost more.
Anaesthetists charge as per the type of anaesthesia required for the surgery. Anaesthesia can be either general or local and can be administered by either local doctor or a specialized anaesthetist. Different devices are used for different types of procedures. These devices can be cheek, breast, injectables and chin implants. The cost of these devices depends upon type of implant, quality, size and injectable volume. These devices are a significant part of the total cosmetic surgery cost. In addition to this, there is consultation fee, which is charged separately. There may be others cosmetic surgery costs such as prescription medications, special creams, stocking, pre-op blood test, or pressure suits/bandages that assist the outcome of surgical procedure.
Cosmetic surgery cost can be very high and if you want to go for a low cost cosmetic surgery, you can search over the internet and find out the places where surgery is being offered at less cost. But, make sure that the surgeons and anaesthesiologists are board certified. There are many countries that are tourist destinations and offer cosmetic procedure at a quite reasonable cost. Do the research over internet and then take the decision.
